Fleece Bathrobe - December 2007

Fluffly microfiber fleece bathrobe for Himself - this was part of his Christmas present December, 2007. I had *just enough* of the sushi fleece to get a bathrobe out of it. It's an amazingly soft microfiber fleece that just feels like butter - it's astonishing. My husband is studying Japanese and his favorite food is sushi... so it seemed appropriate. Best of all, I had it in my stash (it was originally going to be a throw blanket, but we now officially have WAY TOO MANY throws, lucky him!), so I saved $$ to boot. Edged in charcoal grey fleece for contrast.

Pattern:Simplicity 7051, Unisex Bathrobes

Pattern Description: Men's and Women's adult bathrobe pattern

Pattern Sizing: XS - XL

Did it look like the photo/drawing on the pattern envelope once you were done sewing with it? Yep, pretty much!

Were the instructions easy to follow? Yes they were

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern? It went together quickly and easily, and seems to be well-suited to lots of different types of fabrics.

Fabric Used: Microfleece

Pattern Alterations or any design changes you made: Absolutely none - I made it straight from the pattern

Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others? Definitely, on both counts. The sushi robe is my husband's Christmas present, and I plan on going out to get some fleece after the holidays to make my own robe!

Conclusion: A simple, quick pattern that makes a lovely robe with built-in side seam pockets. I really have no complaints at all about this pattern.
