Costume designer, draper and technician: Laura Parker
This dress was created for Fraulein Schneider in William Peace University’s production of ‘Cabaret’. Based off of ‘Superior Patterns – 1908′, a mid-20′s pattern, this simple style placed Fraulein Schneider firmly in the middle class in Wiemar Germany. Sturdy, with just little hints of past wealth in the vintage lace cuffs and bodice detail. I made some minor stylistic changes to the pattern to fit the actress a little better.

You make some fabulous costumes- I bet your actors love them!
